Acreage Maintenance Planning: Where to Start on a Large Block

Divide the property into zones

Separate high-use areas near the home, access routes, presentation areas, open grass, garden zones and lower-priority vegetation. Each zone can have a different standard and frequency.

Protect access first

Driveways, paths, gates, fence lines and frequently used areas should remain visible and practical to move through.

Choose where a fine finish matters

The area near the home may justify a more polished lawn finish, while outer areas may only need to remain controlled and accessible.
